The ideal candidate is tech savvy (gamers encouraged to apply) and has event experience as well. We operate all across the country (and occasionally internationally) so travel is required, though we cover all of your travel costs (hotel, rental car, meals etc.). We are looking to grow our team with people who share our energy and enthusiasm for pushing the envelope of live events and delivering smiles all around the world. This is a part-time, Houston, TX events-based position. You will be classified as a 1099 contract worker, and can expect a non-fixed work schedule. At this time, we are only looking to bring on new team members who live in Houston. As an Event Manager You Will... - Get to attend some of the coolest parties/conferences/conventions out there (Snoop Dogg DJ’d one we did recently) - Set up virtual reality stations, and wow all of the event attendees with awesomeness that is VR - Be responsible for the execution of all on-site event activities - Be the main point of contact for our clients on-site - Be proactive and fully prepared for every event - Provide status updates for each event from start to finish - Be an ambassador for VirtualRealityRental.co while at the event - Conduct post-event review to support continuous improvement of processes and practices for future events This role requires someone who is highly motivated, loves to make people smile, and has proven experience crushing the responsibilities listed above.
