I just created a group for local DJs and producers to have an opportunity to perform in public Chicago spaces while building friendships and finding collaborative opportunities. Inspired by block party culture of the 1970s. I have a battery-powered audio system that I am going to use for future events. I can set up anywhere. I'd love to meet others who want to collaborate to find ways to perform their music and art in non-commercial, DIY environments like within local parks or lakeside. I aim to make this a recurring thing, but please check out our scheduled events in the meantime. I want to expand this concept to make it as inclusive as possible while maintaining an inclusive and DIY vibe.
