Everybody here understands what you're saying. You've said it enough. You have a good point. The only way it will change is if all musicians demand some type of compensation rather than nothing. As long as there are, and there are, people who want to do it, venues will continue to offer it, and people will continue to attend. Your gripe is mainly with your fellow artists. So what do you say, all musicians out there, should we all boycott playing for free? I am not 100% sure how I feel about it, to be honest, but when I hear it put that way I have to decline, in favor of SOME free music. my 2 cents which is more than i made at my last performance. (actually, not true) Though I am trying to change that.... by being relevant.
