Description
Special event services provider in Farmingdale NY, looking for part-time/freelance labor for setup and removal of temporary lighting and audio-visual equipment. There are no preset days/hours. Once hired, we present open shifts to our roster of employees, and you can take the shifts that fit your schedule (provided you accept the shift before someone else does).
Experience is preferred, but will train if you are technically inclined.
Pay is based on experience $20-$35 per hour with overtime after 40 (W2 with direct deposit through ADP).
Setup and event shifts have 10-hour minimum calls ($200-$350 minimum per shift).
Breakdown shifts have 8-hour minimum calls ($160-$280 minimum per shift).
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must have access to reliable transportation (to either our Farmingdale office, or the event location).
• Be familiar with basic hand tools and how to safely use them.
• Ability to efficiently follow direction and execute plan in a timely and accurate manner.
• Proven organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
• Must possess the ability to effectively communicate.
• Must be polite towards others.
• Physical ability to move, grasp, reach for, turn, manipulate, lift, carry, push, pull, and place equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working on ladders.
• Ability to adhere to a flexible schedule is imperative to this position. Days and hours are dictated by clients’ events. The majority of events/shows take place on nights and weekends.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
