Maintenance Technician
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Effectively communicate, understand, read and write English
• Valid WA state driver’s license and provide a current Department of Licensing driving record
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Agree to a drug-free workplace, as well as random drug screening
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess working knowledge of general maintenance such as: heating, wiring, air conditioning, refrigerators and freezers, painting, and use of general power/hand tools
• Must provide your own tools
• Be able to operate light machinery and vehicles
• Have the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, climb and crawl for entire duration of shift
• Be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Ability to professionally interact with customers, tenants, other employees, and contractors.
Job Duties
This position handles an array of maintenance related issues for rental homes, apartments, and commercial properties. These duties may include: extensive indoor and outdoor painting, pressure washing, landscaping related duties, trash pick-up, minor plumbing repair, light-bulb replacement, spill clean-up. You may also be required to assist with: light construction/remodeling, home repair, home site development, minor plumbing or electric issues, and more. May be required to use equipment/tools such as: chainsaws, air compressors, brad nailer, table saws, cordless drills/sawzall, pressure washer, and more.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This position also requires the willingness and ability to work on-call, as necessary.
Compensation
• Between $20 and $22 an hour, depending on qualifications
• Medical, Dental, and Life insurance is offered and fully paid for by the company after 90 days of employment
