Description

This year the African American Day Parade in Harlem, NY will take place on September 18th, and we are looking for support capturing images of the event 9am - 1pm. There will be press at the event but we want to make sure our community is captured and represented in the right way. This is a great opportunity to support the community while building your portfolio and making connections with future clients. Since 1969, the annual African American Day Parade has served as a cherished platform to celebrate African American accomplishments within five basic areas that strengthen the community: Business, Education, Health, Politics/Government, and Culture. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, the sole mission of the AADP is highlighting African American culture, heritage and unity, showcasing the best and brightest of our community, and commemorating the legacy of our ancestors. This is one of the largest and oldest parades of African American culture.
