Deschutes Roofing and Insulation is looking for a Warehouse Assistant that we can train in sheet metal fabrication for our Central Oregon location. The Warehouse Assistant will make deliveries to crews, unload materials from trucks, and more! This is a full-time position, that offers room to grow! Job Description: -Assist in loading and unloading materials. -Prepare, load, and deliver daily material orders. -Clean and organize shop, vehicles, and bathroom. -Run materials out to job sites. -Organize shop and the yard, unload trucks daily and place new materials into the yard. -Bend sheet metal for flashings with a 10-foot Break and Sheer and run metal through a panel former. -Shop fabrication to include cuts, bends, and shaping sheet metal to required dimensions. -Pulling metal trailer out to job sites to run metal -As business picks up bending metal and running panels for other companies. -Experience within the construction industry and/or familiarity with construction equipment is helpful but not required. -Forklift/Equipment-handling experience is helpful but not required (we will train). -Valid Driver’s License Required. -This is a physically active position, predominantly on your feet with some bending, reaching, squatting, and climbing required. -Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 80 lbs. (equipment and materials) multiple times throughout an 8-10 hour shift. -Must be able to work in cool/warm outdoor weather conditions.
