Hello! I come from a folk/ blues background with a lot of live performance experience and a love of recording. You can hear me fronting a blues band, doing background vocals for a folk/ country artist, and my electronic originals on my website: https://www.indiapaloma.com/music. I love a lot of different types of music but this ad is about attracting the right woman for an acoustic, earthy, vocal harmony-driven project where we create some uplifting and some haunting/ moody music. I am part hippie, part punk and so we would likely get along if you also are into peace and love with a dash of fuck the system. I genuinely want to leave my ego at the door so we can concentrate on collaborating, learning together, and making and sharing music with the world. About me: -female vocalist with a blues/folk sound -alto/soprano range -love to sing lead as much as I love to harmonize/ support other vocalists -play enough guitar but would rather someone else does -learning drums so am open to accompanying the project on a cajon, but am a total beginner at the moment -have written originals but prefer interpreting the writing of others. I care more about getting out there and performing than writing and I also value the craft of covering already written songs in unique ways. -love to play live and plan on doing it regularly -love to record, too -committed to a regular rehearsal schedule and showing up prepared and practiced About you: -female vocalist from any musical background -any range -love to sing lead as much as you love to harmonize/ support other vocalists -play guitar (or other instrument) way better than me and feel comfortable carrying the weight of a tune without any additional accompaniment -if you have originals, you are not married to playing those originals in this project and value cover music in the same way that I do -committed to practicing on your own, rehearsing regularly, and playing live and also open to recording The following are songs I would love to do as a duo.
