Wanted Ground Person / Helper To Move And Load Wood / Logs / Branches

Jobs

Minneapolis MN

Description

I am looking for a ground person to help me out sometimes when I have tree projects; this is only part time work. I usually get one tree project a week. But if you just want to work on only one project and never come back that is okay as I have a list of people that I can always fall back on. This is ground work. You will be expected to move heavy logs and drag branches. Some logs can weigh 100 pounds or more, although we try to cut the logs so that you are not moving logs over 100 pounds. Except a dolly, we do not use any special equipment to move, lift, and load the logs and branches. You can use a dolly when there is no snow and a sled when there is snow. The pictures of logs in this ad show the size of logs that you would be moving. We move fast and expect you to work hard. Simply, I need a strong person to carry and load brush and logs into a trailer. There are no other prerequisites/requirements for this position. Attached to this ad are pictures of the logs and brush that you would be responsible for liftting, carrying, and loading. Pay is $20 - $25 per hour based on our history/your experience with us. If we have never worked together before, starting pay is always $20 for the first day so that I can see your work etiquette and experience level. Payment for work is cash at the end of the job. You must be able to work a minimun of 6 to 8 hours. If you work at least 8 hours, I will add $20 for gas. If you work more than 10 hours, I will add $20 for food. Right now, I have work for the following days: Saturday, August 6th. This project is in Bloomington. Saturday, August 13th. This project is in St.Paul. Sunday, August 14th. This project is in St.Paul. (Tree projects are not always on the weekends. We also have tree projects during the week days, but right now I just have these weekend projects.) If interested, please respond with the following information: 1. What city are you coming from? 2. Do you have your own transportation? 3. Are you in good physical shape? 4. Are you able to lift and carry heavy objects? 5. Are you dependable? (My rule is that if you do not show-up once during our first 8 projects. You will NEVER work for me again.) You must bring your own water and snacks/food as we do not want you leaving and searching for a gas station during a project.
