Just The Beginning-The Price Of Lies And Slander The jury in the current Alex Jones case returned a COMPENSATORY damages award to only 2 families of murdered Sandy Hook school shooting children in the amount of (wait for it!)................. 4.1 MILLION DOLLARS The jury will render their decision on their assessment of PUNITIVE DAMAGES that Jones will have to pay these two families for the hateful lies and violence-encouraging, vile and despicable rhetoric that he spewed on his Info Wars show over the past several years. (There may even be additional EXEMPLARY damages assessed, which are designed to discourage others from engaging in this type of behavior.) It probably didn't help any but remains to be seen just how much it will cost Jones for fatlipping about both the judge and the jury while the hearing was proceeding, saying that the jury was a collection of blue-collar people who didn't know what planet they were on, and the judge was reading from a pre-determined script in conducting his hearing. Smart people know when to keep their mouths shut when it does not pay to antagonize people whose fate is in their hands. But then again, we all know that Jones is not a smart person..... And, this is only the FIRST of three court cases where Jones is to learn that not only are there limits to free speech when it inflicts emotional and physical trauma on innocent others and promotes violence but also there is a price to pay when those lines are crossed. This reporting will be updated so that all you hero Jones supporters and admirers out there learn why it's going to raise the prices of his snake oil cures and inert-ingredient supplements that his Faithful Followers fork over their hard-earned money on....
