We have a concrete pipe manufacturer looking for people to work at their plant in Palatka. You will start as a general helper assisting in the reopening of their existing facilities. For people who show up and do the work our client will then train them to use heavy equipment which will lead to an increase in pay when the plant is ready to open. Prior experience in plant work or construction is required. Expected hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm You will need reliable transportation in order to commute to his job. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Able to follow instruction from supervisor and work as a member of a team Able to pass a physical examination and drug screening prior to employment · Assemble equipment and using tools specific to task · Handling equipment and material with a Powered Industrial Truck · Handling equipment and material with overhead, gantry, or jib cranes · Setting up form jackets for Concrete Pipe · Carrying materials from storage or staging areas to production areas · Perform general housekeeping duties. · Maneuvering welding equipment as required · Shoveling, chipping, sweeping, and removal of concrete buildup and waste debris as required Critical Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 pounds Ability to lift tools, equipment, and materials specific to job task Able to climb ladders Able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, and lift heavy objects during the course of the work day, up to 10 hours Ability to work in extreme weather conditions Required Personal Protective Equipment· Hi-Vis Hard Hat, Safety Glasses or ANZI Rated Prescription Safety Glasses, Ear plugs as required, Gloves, Steel Toed Boots, Hi-Vis Vest or Shirt· Respiratory protection as required Candidates who provide references will receive first priority.
