Synth/Keys Player Looking for Trans-Friendly Bands or Jams!!

Ridgewood NY

Description

Hi! I've been playing classical piano for about 3.5 years and want to begin playing with other people, i.e. you! My latest pieces have been Bartók and Bach, to give you a sense of my skill level (solidly intermediate!!). I do a bit of my own songwriting, but really I just want to be a supporting synth/keys player doing harmony, rhythm, pads, etc. I also play a bit of basic bass guitar, and can definitely play synth bass, so I'm open to that as well! Pretty flexible genre-wise, but I gravitate towards indie, metal, noise rock, electronic. Grooves or noise or vibes! I've never really played with other people, so a bit of kindness and patience at first would be appreciated. I can commit to a once or twice a week regular practice or jam + the occasional local gig, but I'm not aiming for anything "professional" in the long-term. Music for the sake of music! About me: I'm early 30s nonbinary living in Ridgewood. I listen to a fairly wide-range of genres, so here's a long list of artists I've been enjoying the past few months: Animal Collective / Mannequin Pussy / cumgirl8 / Angel Olsen / Boris / Chat Pile / Lea Bertucci / Alice Coltrane / Charli XCX / Rosalia / Crumb / Guerilla Toss / Ava Luna / Indian Classical Music / Sloppy Jane / Cate le Bon / Chaka Khan / Weather Report / Chic / Mr Twin Sister / Nils Frahm / Roy Orbison / Dos Santos / Xibalba / Eris Drew / Octo Octa / NTS Radio Looking forward to hearing from you :D
