Middle-aged/older start-up band needs any-age voice or voice/keyboard for lots of harmonies and leads. Resulting instrumentation will be voice, voice, guitar/voice, bass, keyboard/ maybe voice, drums. Material comprised of carefully chosen mainly r and b and pop covers that can be rearranged and re-imagined with luscious harmonies and intoxicating grooves. We want to cover but not always copy. A couple of groups already doing this are: Lake street dive, and Scary pockets. Goal is to have fun and to get gigs, one or two a month, or so, in medium sized venues - wine bars, smaller bars, restaurants, etc….not necessarily ones with big dance floors. Monday nite rehearsals in south minneapolis.
