BRAIN is for both technical and business users - any and all who are interested in business analytics, data visualization, modeling, Artificial Intelligence, traditional business intelligence, and everything in between. You may bring in your BI problems and we'll add it to the queue and discuss as time allows after the presentations are over. AGENDA: 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Networking & Pizza 6:00 pm – Until: Introductions followed by presentations & discussions Topic: If having a favorite chart type in PowerBI is wrong, then I don’t want to be right (Darrell Broussard, Louisiana Healthcare Connections) Details: Demonstrations of how to blend simplicity, efficiency, and usability into visualizations in PowerBI. Azure DevOps is a suite of tools that accomplishes all of these things. It replaces Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, and Katalon, bringing all of the power of these tools into one unified interface. We will discuss each of these features, as well as how to set it up, configure a team, create tickets, manage code, and deploy it. No previous experience is required to gain actionable insight into this powerful (and free*) set of tools. Bio: Darrell J. Broussard, Jr. is currently a Senior Data Analyst for Louisiana HealthCare Connections (LHCC), the Louisiana Medicaid, Medicare and Exchange plan of Centene Corporation (CNC). In this position, Mr. Broussard supports the local operations of LHCC through data collection, data reporting and analysis, and data visualization. He had developed the data model, dashboard and data implementation of LHCC’s health equity efforts using business intelligence tools and methodologies. Over his years with LHCC, Mr. Broussard has supported LHCC’s operations through data, processes, and projects, including implementation of social needs referral platforms. Prior to LHCC, Mr. Broussard worked in different roles with Albemarle Corporation and supported several global operations with data, process and projects, including the implementation of financial business intelligence systems including interactive dashboards. Mr. Broussard is a three-time graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, LA. He has earned an MBA from the Flores MBA Program, a BA in Mass Communications and a BS in Information Systems and Decision Sciences.
