If you are a veteran who has not previously been a participant of Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) come to our event to learn more about VUB's services and how we can assist you in going to college. Veterans attending the museum visit will have a chance to learn about the services VUB has to offer, meet the staff, and enjoy an afternoon of touring the museum along with lunch. Ticket includes museum entry, private tour of Chicago Fire of 1871 exhibit, lunch, t-shirt, and VUB swag bag. Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is a free-of-charge program funded by the U.S. Department of Education that helps veterans in preparing for enrollment at a college of their choice. Services VUB provides: Pre-College Prep CoursesNavigating the College Admissions ProcessAssisting with Applying and Using Military Education Benefits and Federal Financial AidAdvising on Choosing a Major, College Program, and a SchoolTo be eligible to attend this free event, participants: Must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed ForcesMust not have been a previous or current participant in Veterans Upward BoundFor more information about Veterans Upward Bound or the event, contact Roderick Houston at [email protected] or call at 312-434-8441.
