We will meet at the Shepard’s Farm trailhead on Crockett Ridge Road at 8:30am. The trail starts through the meadow and walks by Bernard Langlais sculptures that have been installed. We then head into the woods and meet up with the Witt Swamp Preserve to do the loop that includes Half Witt Trail - a gorgeous boardwalk over a swampy area - and then Witt’s End Trail which is a beautiful trail through the woods. The full hike is about 4.5 miles and is rated as easy. Friendly dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash. ** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified and are not guides. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.** What to bring: All registered participants are required to carry a personal hygiene kit which includes a mask/face covering and hand sanitizer. The parking area and trailhead are located 0.5 miles north of ME-117/118 at 121 Crockett Ridge Road. The trailhead and small kiosk are to the right of the parking area. Parking/Trail Pass: Parking is in parking lot. No trail pass needed.
