The Art of Listening with Life Coach Maria Brophy Thursday, January 7th 6-7 PM. $20 Listening is a powerful, beautiful art form. It is also a skill. Some people have a natural affinity for it while others do not and anywhere in between. Wherever you land is okay because to become a great listener requires practice. Active listening is an important skill to have because it can strengthen/weaken our relationships with others. We take notice of the people who consistently listen when we are speaking and guess what- people also notice if YOU are actually listening when they are speaking. It goes both ways. If you want someone to listen and respect what have to say, than you have to do the same in return. Respect is a key factor in active listening. If you find it difficult being a great listener or want to brush up on your listening skills come join me in a class that’s meant to improve your relationships with others on all levels.
