The Alaska premier of “All the Lonely People" will include a welcome from film makers Joe Applebaum and Stu Maddox, and a guest appearance from one of the Alaskans interviewed for the film. Much of the film was shot in Palmer-Wasilla over the past three years as crews followed an LGBTQ couple overcoming isolation that left them homeless. A panel discussion and tasty food from Crush follow the movie showing.
Organizers hope this will be the start of a statewide community conversation about social isolation and loneliness, and how to address it, with plans to show the film throughout Alaska in the future.
