WORCESTER, MA — It'll even be too hot Thursday in Worcester for lunch. The city has decided to postpone the Out to Lunch festival set for Thursday afternoon with temperatures predicted to be in the 90s — and near 100 with the heat index. The Out to Lunch festival, which features food trucks, music, a farmers market and crafts market, will be pushed back to Sept. 8. The festival will also take place on Aug. 18 and Sept. 1, always from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. To beat the heat on Thursday, the city recommends residents visit either a library branch, the senior center or a swimming area. The heat index will peak at about 99 on Thursday, according to forecasts, and temperatures won't come down much over the next few days. It'll feel like the mid-90s through at least Monday. There's a heat advisory in effect for almost all of Massachusetts from 11 a.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. Friday.
