Description
We are looking for a home for my moms special needs beagle, Haley. She just turned one year old on june 18 2022.
We originally got her to train as a service dog for my mom, but quickly noticed she was not making her milestones like our other pups.
She showed signs of discomfort while playing with our other dogs, so we brought it to the attention of our vet; who said she would be better off as an only dog or in a home with calmer dogs that didn't roughhouse. Our vet said that aside from the pain/discomfort that the roughhousing brings, Haley is also mentally slow. That being said, she CAN LEARN! It will just take longer with more repetition. She knows "sit", "come" and we are working on "kennel" and "leave it".
She is very loving and has never shown aggression of any kind. She is not spayed and is due for her shots soon. As long as you keep her on a good frequent potty schedule, she is fairly potty trained with few accidents. She is kennel trained, but will occasionally dig in it to let you know she has to potty.
She will come with a small bag of transition food to help her switch to whichever food you want her on. (She is currently eating "wholehearted" from petco)
We dont want her to go, but we and the vet agree that finding her another home is whats best for her.
Please contact us with any questions you may have. Rehoming fee applies, but can be waived for the right home with vet references/ proof she will be well taken care of.
