Description

We are Bears with Eagle Arms, a strange folk band that has been playing shows around Denver for 6+ years. https://bearswitheaglearms.com/ Song for Myself was featured on Welcome to Night Vale and now has 12,000+ streams on Spotify. https://open.spotify.com/artist/2bO6dSxNZsJ2GfdsGDccAY?si=rPSQ5Ug-SFS_HR4pNLI2uQ In 2019, we released a full length album and have since been in hibernation during the pandemic. We've started playing shows again and I've written an EP of new music. The plan for the near future is to record the EP and play lots of shows to support it. Give the demos a listen: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1czLbKWEORzdyNxUMlGelyk-6OQAkoCB2?usp=sharing At the moment we are a 3 piece. Peter (me) on guitar, vocals, keys, etc., Becca on violin, vocals, keys, etc. and Tony who plays a mean bass guitar and standup bass. We all have classical/orchestral experience and work well with classically trained players. I even make sheet music sometimes. You are: A drummer or percussionist interested in exploring outside the traditional kit. We're looking for unique approaches like Alt J or The National A horn or sax player, bonus points if you can play something low like bari sax or tuba. We've consistently had trumpet and sax players in the past A string player. Ideally a cello. We cover violin, guitar, and standup bass so viola or cello would be very nice. We're pretty easygoing and we like to push the boundaries of music. So far I have written almost all of the songs but am very open to collaboration. Usually, I write lyrics and chords and everyone works out their own parts around it with suggestions from the group. Then we practice it until the song takes a stable form.
