What's the deal with blood? Jesus wants us to drink his blood. That's pretty morbid. But the reason is because before Jesus came around, those who believed were supposed to slaughter animals. Why? God needed the blood I guess. Kooky. So now, the Lord, who is God, who is the Father, who said we cannot have other Gods is now saying to worship Jesus, who is the Lord, meaning God. Even though Jesus isn't the same as God, Jesus is God. That's makes God, uh...Okay they're the same. Then can we forget Jesus and go back to just God? Nope. Jesus is Lord. Then let's worship Jesus. But God said "Thou shalt have no other Gods". So I don't think we should worship Jesus. It's really confusing, but it makes perfect sense and now I understand why he wants us to drink blood. PS God also instructs a person to bake bread with feces and eat it. I promise. Look it up.
