Description
As a journeyman/Technician HVAC you will be responsible for performing installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: industrial refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity... as well as perform skilled, complex troubleshooting, repair, modification, installation, and preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities, winery, fixtures, and systems while following established maintenance schedules and guidelines. Responsibilities: Perform skilled welding, electrical repair, fabrication, mechanical repair, industrial refrigeration and HVAC repair, liquid and gas plumbing, and other mechanical tasks Responsible for compliance with CWUS sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results. Safety – follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety. Maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills Uses hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and documenting repair activities Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues Complete all required training requirements to safely operate equipment and tools Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the HVAC/R safety policy and environmental guidelines Minimum Qualifications: Must be forklift certified Must understand cooling systems Will be expected to read blueprints and diagrams Must have strong reasoning and troubleshooting skills Will regularly use hand tools Must have basic math and writing skills Must be able to use the metric system Must be able to climb ladders, work from heights and in small spaces and be physically agile to perform required work Must be able to recognize hazards Must have 40 hour CARO refrigeration Certificate Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk, or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery, and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.
