REQUIREMENTS: - 21+ years old - Valid driver’s license - Reliable transportation - Dependable and consistent - Must be able to lift 50lbs - Must be willing to rotate working on holidays - Professional communication with clients - Must have 2+ years professional horse experience - Must have 1+ years management experience - Able to make good decisions independently RESPONSIBILITIES: - Feeding, watering, and medicating horses - Turning horses in and out - Stall cleaning / paddock cleaning - Horse grooming and tacking - Set up and tear down of arenas - Maintaining clean and neat barn spaces - Prepping for on-site horse shows - Assisting with staff management during horse shows - Ensuring staff are working in an efficient and timely manner - Managing weekend barn needs - Providing medical treatments for horses - Handling horse or staff emergencies - Communicating professionally and effectively with management and clients SCHEDULE: - Part-time, 30 hours a week - Three, 10-hour days - Standard schedule: Friday – Sunday / 7AM – 6PM (1-hour lunch break) o Schedule can vary due to weather conditions - Some flexibility required (horses don’t always follow our schedules!) PAY/BENEFITS: - $15 per hour - Potentially 15% commission for teaching riding lessons - Unlimited FTO (must be requested and approved) - Weekly riding lessons - Monthly “Khaos Lesson” (personal development with help from the horses!) - Cost covered for 1 entry at in-house horse shows (minus USEF, USDF, and office fees) o **You must also work the day of the show - 25% off horse board - tack space included - Option available to work a 4th day each week at $11/hour applied to board, lease, or lesson fees.
