COATINGS INSTALLERS Sundek of North Carolina (919) 670-1550 has positions available for crew members to install decorative concrete coating systems. Our starting salary begins at $19.00 - $24.00 / hour depending on experience. While we are looking for individuals with previous concrete or painting experience, there is NO experience required for this job. We are willing to teach you our trade and provide growth opportunities. We encourage landscapers, painters, handymen and concrete workers to apply. We are looking for someone who has integrity and a great attitude! Job Description: The crew member is involved with the preparation of concrete floors for coating application. Work includes but is not limited to grinding concrete with walk-behind machine work and hand grinding; washing, cleaning, vacuuming, and scraping floors; and various other surface prep that requires working on your knees for extended periods of time. This job also involves applying coatings, which includes working with multiple different chemical systems in a safe environment. Other job duties may arise that are not listed in this description. This job can be labor-intensive. Our ideal candidate will take pride in their work and want to learn how to work with concrete to create excellent-looking floors. We generally work during normal business hours, but frequently have jobs that need to be done during evenings and weekends. To be considered for this job, you need to understand that you may be asked to work late, work evenings, and work weekends. We give as much notice as possible when these situations arise. Responsibilities and Duties: • Team player and the ability to work well with others • Attention to detail and a desire to learn a true craft • Mixing, spraying, stamping, cutting, coloring and placement of coating materials, staining, and sealing of surfaces • Prepping and cleaning concrete surfaces • Must operate and maintain equipment and company van • Be able to learn techniques used to install decorative concrete and perform all phases of installation. • Follow all standard Sundek installation techniques Practices standard Sundek Safety Rules. • There will also be occasional out of town work, with per diem paid Minimum Qualifications and Skills: • Must be in good physical condition and health • Must be comfortable bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying (up to 50 lbs.), using power and small hand tools • Must be able to work outside • Ability to communicate effectively in order to understand instructions and read safety information Compensation and Benefits: • Competitive hourly wage with a minimum of 40 – 55 hours per week • Bonus Program • Health Care Benefits • Bilingual communication compensated • Paid vacation and holidays • Opportunity for advancement • Positive work environment If you are ambitious, hardworking, reliable, and an on-time individual we'd like to talk with you.
