Sagamore Blue Marinas is looking for a Marina Yard Manager / Travelift Operator to join our service team at Anchor Yacht Basin in Edgewater, Maryland. This newly acquired 130 slip marina has been providing deep water boating access to the Chesapeake Bay for decades and is complimented with a full-service yard and upland storage facility. The chosen candidate will be a hands on manager leading the service yard in conjunction with our Guest Experience team while operating and training your team on the boat lift equipment. This position, like all positions at Sagamore Blue, provides opportunity for growth on property and within the Sagamore Blue marina network. Abilities required – - Operate a 75t Marine Travelift - Manage and train ground crew - Schedule both Hauling and Launching of vessels within the service yard - Assist the yard team in service tasks such as hull cleaning and paint work. - Applying appropriate charges to vessels in the yard - Ensuring equipment is properly maintained to meet manufacturer's specifications - Ensure all safety measures are taken to meet or exceed OSHA regulations and company policies - Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the service yard to the highest level - Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions - Other duties as assigned by management The candidate must have experience operating a Travelift as a requirement the ability to operate a marina forklift is a plus. Excellent customer service is also a must as the facility is a mixed-use marine center that incorporates close interaction with customers and other professionals within the industry.
