Logistics Coordinator – Night Shift – 11PM to 8AM Since 1997, Asphalt Transport Inc. (ATI) has delivered transport solutions to the paving and roofing industries. We are a leader in the safe and on-time transport of hot liquids, with an expert knowledge of the transport of hot asphalt. We also have a specialty products division that specializes in the transportation of lube oils and other clean products. ATI has terminal locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee. From these locations, product can be delivered to job locations anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. Job Description Our logistics coordinators work in a fast-paced position that is at the hub of activity in our business unit. Logistics coordinators obtain detailed dispatch specifications for customers, perform load planning activities, coordinating load assignments, and handle administrative paperwork and computer entry duties. The main objective is to verify that the customer’s needs are met in a prompt and professional manner. Key duties · Handle incoming customer orders via phone & email · Coordinate delivery schedules · Interact and communicate with drivers · Handle customer service requests · Data Entry • Movement of all loads within the assigned region. • Direct communication with the customer service team. • Assign Drivers to move shipments based on delivery information. • Confirm Pickups via email. • Confirm Deliveries via email. • Ensure all loads are covered that are expected to ship each day. • Perform other functions deemed necessary by department supervisors. • Checklist • Daily • Load Movement Activity Reporting. • Margin Activity Reporting. • Service Failure Reporting. • Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned. • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel • Ability to work flexible schedule Job Qualifications · 1 year of transportation scheduling experience is preferred but not required. · Must have a high level of self-motivation, organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, and ability to multi-task at very fast pace · Prior experience in customer service, secretarial, operations, and/or in an industrial setting is a plus · Must possess attention to detail · Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills · Efficient with Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft Office Products · Previous experience with Prophesy dispatch software is a plus This position will initiate with an extensive training period. After the initial training period is complete, qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and one weekend per month.
