We have a 9 month old Great Dane that we a looking to rehome. This is our first Great Dane, and we were not properly educated. He need to be in a home with no kids, or with teenagers. He is a very dominate dog, and tries to be dominate over our 9 year old. He's never hurt her, but does try to nip which has intimated her, and she fears the dog. He is also starting to get into tiffs with our other dog. He hasn't hurt him either, but it's happened enough where both of my kids are scared of him, and it's not fair to him or the kids. He's an amazing dog, who is quick to listen and learn. He wants to be a lap dog and be loved. He does well with submissive dogs, but I would suggest he be the only dog, or maybe okay with a female. He is quite large, so he would need to be around another large dog. He is crate trained. We have contacted several trainers, and are on the waiting list, but I'm not sure my Family can wait till then.
