St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend OR is seeking to hire a qualified person to join the Evangelization and Catechesis Team. This full-time position requires the employee to be a practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The nature of this position requires a flexible work schedule that may include weekends and evenings. The Evangelization and Catechesis Team guides others to meet and enter a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and to go forth to live that faith as disciples of Christ. With this mission in mind, the team organizes and supports studies, events, activities, classes, and outreach ministries to meet people where they are on their faith journey. Qualifications ▫ Active member of a Roman Catholic faith community ▫ Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Education or related field or compatible experience and or training in catechesis, leadership and management ▫ Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines ▫ Strong written and oral communication skills Skills & Experience ▫ 3 years or more of parish catechetical experience ▫ Comfortable with or able to quickly learn programs such as Word, Excel, and database management systems ▫ Strong communication and administrative skills ▫ Bilingual in Spanish preferred How to Apply Send resume and cover letter to [email protected] or drop off your hard copy at the parish office
