Hey now! Not Fade Away Band is an established, southern NH based jam band. NFAB's performances feature high energy Grateful Dead and beyond. Each show is a unique experience with a mix of Dead along with covers from various artists and select NFAB originals. Every song is played in our own style with soulful vocal harmonies and psychedelic improvisational jams. We are seeking a backup/travel drummer and backup/travel lead guitarist. We have a primary drummer and primary lead guitar player but are looking for dedicated and talented auxiliary musicians to play a percentage of our shows and help us as we expand the brand beyond the New England region. Due to work and other responsibilities, our current drummer and lead guitarist are not able to join us as often as needed. So we are seeking auxiliary members who can practice with us regularly, help us bring a consistent experience to our fans, and help grow the Not Fade Away Band. With travel in mind, interested parties should understand that we do this all for the love of the music. Members need to have flexibility with work schedules and capable finances to cover travel expenses. As any working musician will know, it takes a ton of work to do what we do. If you do it for the music, for the energy it gives us, and to spread good vibes, then you may wish to contact us. I would add that we are not trying to play The Grateful Dead like the Dead did, nor do we try to emulate the original artist with any cover that we perform. We bring our own approach to everything we play. Playing with conviction, playing with an edge, rock and roll with soul, high energy grooves, and intuitive improvisation are key for us. We need talented musicians who can add their flavor to the mix while realizing that we are all part of the whole, and do what is best to serve each song. As for the Dead, we are more Phil and Friends/JRAD than DSO if that helps. We are a kind and professional bunch of responsible players.
