We are seeking a Postpartum Doula to join our team! You will be responsible for assisting Mom's in their postpartum recovery & both parents in the transition of the 4th trimester - Postpartum! Responsibilities: Recognize expected signs of healthy postpartum recovery Recognize early signs and symptoms of postpartum mood disorders Help establish and understand Parenting philosophies and plan implementation Infant feeding, including breast, bottle and a combination of both Infant comfort and soothing techniques Bathing, diapering, and umbilical cord care Regulation of day and night sleep Strategizing systems and creating routines Meal planning and daily household upkeep Communicate with collaborating Doulas and family members Educate parents about newborn & postpartum care with Evidence Based Education Facilitate referrals to other outside services such as IBCLC Maintain accurate notes regarding infant care provided Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members Qualifications: Previous experience with newborns and/or postpartum recovery Familiarity with postpartum and newborn terminology Ability to build rapport with families and fellow Doula team Strong problem solving Patience and understanding Infant CPR Certified Doula Certified - company will get you trained Background Check Child Abuse Clearance
