YOU ARE INVITED TO A DAY OF FUN AND PLANNING AT OUR SECOND EVER BUILT FOR ZERO RETREAT!We are leaving no rock unturned as we work together to map out the direction that we will take as a community to reach our collective goals. We will strategize towards some BIG goals and some smaller goals, all the while knowing we all have the same purpose - we want to see the end of homelessness in Middlesex County. What a TREASURE that would be! As a community, we have been a part of the Built for Zero Initiative (BfZ) of Community Solutions since 2018. They have come alongside us to drive much of the system change efforts you have seen visibly through Coordinated Assessment, Case Conferencing, and more. We have also received special unrestricted funding, dubbed Flex Funding, through their Community Investment Grant, which helped us meet immediate needs of clients and double housing placements in the month of April. They have provided us with the training, tools, and technology we have needed as a community to truly make changes that would positively affect those we serve. They have acted as a gap-filler in places where we may not have fiscal or human capacity to drive change forward. Annually, our leadership team has had the privilege to travel to the BfZ Learning Session, held at different cities across the country, to get equipped for the work we do. They have pulled from all BfZ has to offer and have made the most of the opportunity to collaborate and network with communities across the country doing similar work as us here in Middlesex. On August 17th, we will be bringing BfZ to YOU! You would love this retreat if... You are passionate about the work that we do as a system to serve the homeless population,You enjoy finding innovative and creative ways to end homelessness,You would like some extra support around your daily work to help you meet your interagency goals with more intention and efficiency, andYou want to be a part of HISTORY and get bragging rights to say that you were apart of the team that ended homelessness in your county.In addition to setting community wide goals, there will be games, prizes, refreshments, and wellness activites intended to give you a nice break from the mundane....oh and we have some TSHIRTS to give away too!
