Description
Hello, due to a new health issue, I am reluctantly offering, my darling cockatiel to a new home.
She ( ?) is less than a year old, hand raised locally. She is funny, spunky, & very affectionate. She knows a few commands, but has learned no words…so probably a girl. I’ve had birds for 50 years. Izzy is the 2nd best bird I have had. Probably with time could be the best. She rooms with 3 parakeets, and they get along fine. ( I will keep the parakeets, I can’t live without a little feathered friend. )
But Izzy deserves more than I will be able to give her, going forward.
She is PERFECT…and has 25 years in front of her. Drop dead beautiful, and so funny.
She is quite opinionated, but not aggressive. She will literally sit on your shoulder…all day long, and advise you on cooking, chores etc. she will push all your, pens, tools etc on the floor. She will eat your dinner for you. She will gladly chew your important papers. She is VERY affectionate!
Here’s the deal…. This bird is SO pretty, young and wonderful, I will not risk her future by giving her to any home, without substantial… proveable… experience, and another bird companion. A sunny window, where she can watch the rain and trees. Or a porch to sit out with you on.
She is use to pretty much all day interaction, and company. She has never been mistreated.
She flys well, and doesn’t hit the windows. She loves veggies and bath time.
She likes listening to the radio. If you are away. I have no TV… but I’m sure she’d like that too.
She is a ‘ pied pearl ‘ I think, she has stripes and polka dots on her wings underside.
* I have a new space saver cage, for her… it’s not decorated yet. It has a open top play stand.
So if you can prove you are serious, and have $300 to cover the food, cage and miss Izzy. Let me know. I’m not in a hurry. Thanks. Cj.
