Creative Aging’s 2022/23 Senior Arts Series Season begins Wednesday, August 24th, at 1:30pm at Theatre Memphis, 630 Perkins Extended, Memphis, TN with Swingtime Explosion Big Band. Swingtime Explosion is a 17-piece big band that includes 5 saxophones, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets and a 4-piece rhythm section (piano, bass, guitar, drums). Often featured at Lafayette’s Music Hall, Swingtime Explosion plays Swing, Jazz, Rock, Standard Ballads, Movie and TV Themes, Latin, and Blues. Swingtime Explosion also presents a wide variety of vocal arrangements that feature it’s two vocalists, Dare Pugh Estok and Tim Simpson. Swingtime Explosion has delighted audiences with excellent arrangements for listening and dancing since 2004. Join us for this marvelous explosion of sound and big band energy.
