On August 20, 2022, the Forever Pink Foundation in collaboration with the Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc , in partnership with the City of Clarkston, under the leadership of Mayor Beverly H. Burks will host the 2022 Inaugural “New American Festival”, an international, family-oriented event where food, health and wellness is the focus as we celebrate the cultural diversity in the Clarkston and Dekalb County communities. The festival will be held at Clarkston Community Center in Clarkston from 10am -3pm the “2022 New Americans Festival” will collaborate with a combination of corporate sponsors, refugee resettlement agencies, community sponsors, civic organizations as well as local physicians and health organizations. Our goal is to provide a broad representation of resources that will serve the community in one location while still promoting family and fun! Due to the ongoing pandemic, strict CDC recommended COVID guidelines will be followed for all activities. Masks will be required of all attendees, and prior registration is strongly recommended!
