EXPERIENCED INSTALLERS STARTING AT $25-$35 per hour. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Solar Installer Effectively work in a team to install and seal roof attachments, equipment racking supports and solar panels Perform all construction tasks per manufacturer’s installation guidelines Electrical wiring of solar array/system (DC and AC) in addition to installing raceways around residential applications include roofs, attics, walls Review job installation plan with Crew Lead Prepare, load, and organize installation vehicles Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment Maintain and clean up the job site REQUIREMENTS: 0 - 2 years relative experience High school diploma or trade school degree related to construction or building sciences Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems Excellent customer service skills including verbal and written communications Must possess a valid driver’s license Must maintain a clean driving record Physical Requirements Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily Ability to lift, squat, deadlift, pull and carry up to 50 lbs., daily Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, or bending daily Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc) About Smart Home Energy Source We are the largest locally owned and operating PV solar company in the area since 2008. The job role of a solar panel installer involves the following duties:  Assessing locations to ensure they are suitable for solar panels Measuring up areas for installation Making adjustments to building surfaces so panels fit and are adequately supported Installing and maintaining solar panels on homes, business premises or open land Connecting solar panels to an electrical system Grounding electrical equipment and checking wiring Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines Performing maintenance checks and fixing solar panels Using a variety of technical equipment and tools Solar Installer Duties and Responsibilities Assemble solar panels at the job site Mount the panels on the client's roof or in another location Configure the wiring and inspect all electrical parts Install and connect any batteries or other accessories Perform maintenance on all systems Solar Installer Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Construction experience Physical strength and stamina Familiarity with electricity and wiring procedures Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18 - $30.00 per hour Contact me directly to discuss the roles available 631-578-3777
