DETROIT — A 2-year-old girl and a bystander were shot Tuesday morning in Southwest Detroit when someone opened fire from inside a vehicle, police said. Both were taken to a nearby and listed in temporary serious condition.
The child was inside a car with three men near the intersection of Witt and Lawndale streets when a silver Jeep pulled up next to the car and someone inside opened fire, striking the child under her arm, police said.
The shooter continued firing shots after running away, eventually striking a man who was working on his car down the street, police said.
