General Description: Key position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
• Operates hydraulic trailers and travel lift to haul and launch power and sail boats up to 70’ and 36 tons.
• Operates crane for stepping and un-stepping of masts.
• Operates forklift for various functions.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment and trouble shoots problems.
• Maintains awareness of and consistently practices safe work habits.
• Performs heavy lifting, climbing and carrying during job process.
• Performs related duties assigned or as the situation dictates.
Work Experience Required:
• Experience hauling and launching vessels with a travel lift and hydraulic trailer.
• Prior crane operations preferred.
• Experience in maintaining equipment. Ability to comprehend and utilize technical service manuals and use them to facilitate repair and maintenance.
• Capacity to work as a member of a team or by oneself to achieve desire results
• General boat repair knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Current driver's license.
• Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb, lift 50 lbs and work safely around water.
• Must have personal tools.
Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Marine trade school is a plus.
