Job Title: Hardscape Foreman Reports to: General Manager Location: Westlake, Ohio FLSA Status: Full-Time, Hourly Job Summary: Ground Works Land Design is looking for a Hardscape Foreman to join our growing team. As the Hardscape Foreman, one will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients when in the field, overseeing a crew of workers, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. What we offer: Healthcare Insurance (medical & dental) 401(k), 401(k) matching, Profit Sharing Year-Round Employment Employee Appreciation Events Paid Time Off EAP Program Professional Development Assistance Uniforms Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee a crew size or 3-5 Duties/Responsibilities: Communicate with clients when necessary and address customer concerns Effectively communicates with customer needs to the Client Relations Representative Has an advanced understanding of hardscape construction projects. This includes a clear understanding of the processes for properly laying pavers for patios and operating heavy equipment Coordinate, direct, and lead crews to the completion of hardscape projects Supervise crews through project completion ensuring quality workmanship and efficiency Proficiently operate and care for a variety of landscape and construction tools and equipment. Including but not limited to skid steers, tampers, and excavators Maintain a clean and safe work environment, worksite, and equipment maintenance Train crew members to properly use equipment and perform job duties to the Ground Works Land Design standard Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure all are in good operating condition. This includes but not limited to hand tools, landscape equipment and company fleet Accurately complete all documents and records related to a project including billable work and tracking of project productivity Positively promote the company culture Follow company policies and procedures Perform all other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Adaptable to a growing team Effective communicator with the ability to be presidential when conversing with a client or fellow employee. Detail oriented and organized Self-driven and positive attitude Able to work efficiently with little to no supervision Educations and Experience: Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record Able to work successfully with limited supervision Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus Minimum 3 years’ experience in hardscape installation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment a plus Able to analyze diverse problems and consistently make proper decisions Physical Requirements: Able to lift more than 100 lbs.
