Description
Need to rehome my 4 month old labradoodle male. He was adopted to be a therapy dog for my autistic son but my son is not acclimating well to having an animal in the house.
We’ve been calling him Gryff, and he is very sweet. He catches on quickly and is house broken as long as he goes out every 2 hours, and after every feeding. He has been crate trained since 8 weeks and does very well with it. Gryff loves to play with toys. He is very affectionate and will be by your side all day waiting to be pet. He’s been trained to stay off of furniture, knows how to sit, fetch, does well with baths, and does well on a leash. Has only received first round of shots. My son and I are both allergic to dogs but had no issues with Gryff as long as he gets bathed and brushed at least once per month. Very minimal shedding.
Only two behaviors that need work are chewing on loose items (do not leave anything on the floor) and jumping on people when they first enter the house.
I will not give him to anyone who lives alone unless they work from home. Gryff loves affection and I will not rehome him to someone who’ll have him sit alone in a cage all day. He’ll do great in a house with kids but he has only experienced other animals while on walks, not in the house.
Leash, feeding bowls, toys, cage, cage pad, shampoo, brushes, treats and remaining food will go with him.
Serious inquires only. This is a great dog and he won’t be going anywhere sketchy. Small rehoming fee.
