Description
I want to meet someone or a few people to put together a live set and also record and release music with a relative quickness.
I sing, play guitar and bass, and I can program drums with some interesting results when I make the time. I tend to not like performing live alone…it just bores me. I love feeding off a connection and musical tightness, and I’d love to have a live project again before we all get old and die.
I’m 43, in Ballard. 30’s/40s preferred, but whatever. Anyone is encouraged to reply if this ad hits you.
—Who am I looking for?
Someone who has at least a basic grasp of several instruments (or be a badass at one), someone who can hopefully sing/harmonize at least passably, Synth/drums abilities a very big plus, Interest in writing/contributing parts or even whole songs, Recording/live experience/interest.
I want something collaborative, maybe even trading off lead vocals.
I put out a record a few months ago under the name Antinonchalance. To be clear, this ad is not necessarily for that project…I’ll put out records under that name either way.
–The record - - - antinonchalance.bandcamp.com if you want to hear what I do. I did all the vocals in one session after not practicing for over a year, so the one caveat I’ll mention is that my voice is much stronger when playing with others. This record is a tad somber, and I am very much in the mood for louder stuff after putting this out.
I’d love to hear what you can do. Sample links are great, but if you find yourself genuinely interested and want to talk music, please consider reaching out. I’ve had my share of flakes on the rare occasion that I do place an ad like this, so all I ask is that you just try not to be flaky. Let’s not waste our time with Seattle-style human avoidance, please.
Thanks for reading,
brian
