Description
You are invited to a NYC Global rally and dance party for the oceans – featuring activism, storytelling, fishy drag, iconic art by NYC artists, and collective joy for the ocean. (Join Virtually or In-Person!) We must protect at least 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030. To make this happen we need the UN to adopt a strong Ocean Treaty in August! The Global Ocean Treaty is an international agreement – currently under negotiation by governments at the UN – that would make it possible to properly protect the high seas from industrial fishing and other destructive human activities. That’s why on August 18th, we are showing up outside the UN HQ with a wave of people power to rally, celebrate, march, and demand world governments make history for the oceans.
