Interest in a Jug Band?

Hi, Just looking to see if there is any local interest in starting a jug band to play traditional and modern jug tunes, blues and other Americana with an emphasis on both quality music and fun, entertaining and perhaps even comedic or off-color songs, and an eventual goal of playing some small shows with a high level of humorous audience interactions. I have a day job and a family so would be looking for folks who likewise might want to do something very part-time. I am 50 years old and I play a number of things with strings and have played in several amateur bands of different genres. My optimal geographic area in which I’m casting this net is east central VT between Montpelier and WRJ, but hey, it’s VT, there aren’t very many of us, so happy to hear from you wherever you are, and we’ll see if it seems like there might be a critical mass of interested people to explore this further. Some jug band influences would include traditional groups from the 30s and onward ( Memphis jug band, Cannon’s Jug Stompers,etc), Jim Kweskin, Dave Van Ronk and more modern/current groups- Asylum Street Spankers, Wiyos, 2 Man Gentleman Band, many others…
