Small, top-rated remodeling company is seeking a permanent hire – entry-level with room to grow. We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms and additions. The ideal candidate has some work experience but is looking to begin a career in the trades, is trustworthy, intelligent and ready to learn. This is your opportunity to apprentice with an experienced, highly-rated contractor while being paid! Learn: Building foundations, engineered framing systems, Schluter shower systems, cabinetry, drywall, tile, laminate and hardwood floor, trim, lighting, exterior coverings and electrical. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and transportation, basic tools (hammer, tape measure, utility knife, etc). Candidates must also be drug-free and willing to submit to testing. Candidates should be familiar with construction basics, how to read a tape measure, be able to move sheets of drywall, dig foundations, lift and carry bags of concrete, as well as mix it. Work is concentrated in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, with occasional projects in Norfolk. Normal daily start time is 8:30AM. Pay will increase with knowledge and ability.
