Portside Truck & Auto Repair is looking for an entry level person interested in getting into the parts side of the trucking industry. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual with limited to no experience to gain knowledge about truck parts. This is a professional fleet repair operation with a fully renovated state of the art facility. We are responsible for stocking and maintaining the right parts to keep our trucks operational. Duties will start with the most basic functions such as delivering parts to technicians, shipping and receiving, and maintenance of existing inventory. REQUIREMENTS Some technical ability is advantageous with the aptitude to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, some accommodation may be made in certain circumstances. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • Read and interpret documents such as shipping packing lists. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. • Basic computer functions such as data entry and retrieving reports. • Valid Driver’s license is preferred. • Light house keeping duties.
