Diesel Maintenance Mechanic @ Wilson Farm

Wilson Farm, Lexington MA is adding a full-time, year-round experienced (minimum of 4 years) diesel mechanic position to our maintenance team to service tractors, farm equipment, heavy and light trucks, electric pallet jacks, refrigerated trailer units and other various equipment repairs. This is a hands-on role. Description: * Responsible to perform all vehicle maintenance and repair tasks. * All basic maintenance work on small vehicles, farm equipment, electric jacks, tractors and trucks. * Routine maintenance (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity. * Purchasing responsibility to ensure parts and supplies readily available on-site to make repairs. * Inspect vehicles according to the states requirements. Keep logs on issues reported and work performed to correct those issues. * Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition. * Perform welding repairs as needed. Qualifications: * Proficient mechanical skills, with the ability to operate diagnostic equipment. * Willingness to participate in in-house training. * Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles. * Ability to operate vehicles including farm tractors, a plus. * Trade School graduate in auto mechanics or related, equivalent experience. * Reefer experience a plus! * Current, valid driver’s license and must be over 18 years of age.
