You will go to Dallas' nicest hotels and venues to setup and teardown for parties and events. Shag Carpet is seeking a full time, Event Setup/Breakdown Lead. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and pleasant personality; a keen eye for detail; dependability, ability to follow directions and a strong willingness to learn. Days: 6 Days per week with overtime (Nights & Weekends required) Responsibility: Transport, setup, and tear down of event rentals. As the face of Shag Carpet, you will be responsible for representing the company with integrity. Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver and setup of rental items to site timely Drive a 16’ or 26’ box truck Understand the function of all rental equipment and the ability to instruct clients on-site Set up events based on provided floorplan or verbal direction Event breakdown Provide on-site client support and that all clients are satisfied before departure Consistently communicate with manager, updating them with any delays or issues in completing routes on schedule Lead, direct and motivate assigned team on-site Skills/Traits: Ability to work a flexible schedule required Maintain regular & efficient communication Must be able to read, write, and speak English Ability to follow and execute instructions effectively Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently Punctual Positive Attitude Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to push or pull carts of up to 100 lbs. without assistance Must have Driver License and clean Driving Record Able to drive 16’ and 26’ box truck Reliable transportation A working cell phone at all times Health/Dental/Vision/401K Job contingent on successful completion of Background screening and drug test.
