For all the already-disgraced Republicans out there who just can't wrap their heads around the truth WHY their morally repugnant senators killed the veterans' health bill, here is the truth: The bill had already passed the Senate in June on an 84-14 vote, appearing to put it on a glide path to becoming law. But shortly after the Senate vote, House lawmakers discovered language that ran afoul of the Constitution's requirement that tax-related issues originate in the lower chamber. The problematic section would have provided a tax incentive to entice health care workers to move to rural VA facilities. The House then passed a version of the bill without the tax language in a 342-88 vote earlier this month, kicking it back to the Senate; that vote failed. So for all of you misinformed Republicans here that kept crying BS about hundreds of thousands of pork dollars inserted into the bill by the Dems that caused your GOP noble fist-bumpers to vote NAY, once again you are proven to be the liars everybody knows you to be. You wear that liar hat well since you've had so much practice....kind of like your second skin now, eh? Stay confident in your party's shame!
