Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Cutting lawns using hand, power or riding mower; trimming and edging around walks, flower beds, walls, etc. Planting grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; pruning shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth. Spraying lawns, trees and shrubs with fertilizers and insecticides. Maintaining the swimming pools, including proper chemical and PH rate and notation to comply with mandatory state rules. Cleaning and maintaining pool decks, mechanical equipment, machinery, fixtures, emergency equipment, all for the purpose of ensuring that it is suitable for safe operations, maintained in an attractive and clean condition, and/or identifying necessary repairs. Responsibilities will include performing minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping and routine labor and maintenance duties when groundskeeping work has been completed. Raking leaves, cleaning and sweeping litter. Removing snow from roads using heavy equipment, and removing ice from building walkways and steps. Assisting in or may be responsible for trash and recyclables pick up and removal. Must be a team player and work unsupervised, able to follow directions, willing to learn, available to work holidays and some weekend mornings in summer, and overtime required in winter. Hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm from September - May; 6:00am - 2:30pm during summer. Availability to full time employees of both accrued time off and a health insurance stipend. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions: 1. Requires prolonged sitting or standing. 2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects. 3. Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching, climbing and balancing. 4. Must work indoors and outdoors year-round. 5. Must work in noisy and crowded environments. 6. Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors. 7. Must be able to drive a mechanical vehicle. 8. Must be able to work in high places. 9. Must be willing to use personal mobile phone for communication with team members.
