We are currently a two piece looking for a 4 string bass player. Us: Guitarist/Vocals: I have been playing for about 20 years or so. My introduction to the guitar was learning Nirvana and all the Tool albums. Adam Jones is a huge influence on me, but I make it a point to not sound like him if at all. The lesson I took from his playing is to be yourself, create a scene/atmosphere, and that simple riffs can make a huge impact. My biggest influences and I use this term loosely are Tool, Deftones, System of a Down, Nirvana, Killing Joke, Metallica, Mastodon and Qotsa. I listen to almost anything and will take inspiration from anything. I like to write original creative tracks with small nuisances, good heavy rhythms and melodic passages. I always think about how every instrument is going to interact with the riffs when I write. I dabble in bass, drums, keys and making beats. Drummer/Vocals: I have been playing Drums for roughly 29 years now. I started in middle school idolizing drummers like John Bonham, Matt Cameron and Danny Carey. All three, as well as several Jazz drummers (Elvin Jones, Art Blakey, 'Tain Watts for example) influence my playing. My biggest musical inspirations come from Led Zeppelin, AIC, RATM, Soundgarden, Frank Zappa, Spin Doctors and The Haunted. I mostly write music that is rhythm/riff based centering around a simple theme and using syncopation and instrumentation to add ear candy. I don't consider myself a multi-instrumentalist, but I occasionally dabble in keys, synths, guitar and bass. I am also a local Audio Engineer with 10+ years of experience and record all over town. We are both down to earth and easy going. Our goals are to create heavy/rhythmic/melodic music from slow to fast paced. Take that music, record and play some shows. Album art and merch will also tie into what we are creating. This is not a project for us. This is for the long term. We are both dedicated to our craft and practice regularly outside of our band practices. Both of us have recording/engineering experience along with professional gear. You: Age 21-45. Down to earth, easy going. We are drama free and like to keep it that way. You understand the importance of supporting the song rather than showing flash. You can communicate well with the bandmates and understand the importance of not wasting peoples time. Vocals and backup vocals a huge plus. You are dedicated to your craft and practice regularly. You have good enough gear to play local venues. You work well writing with others and can keep an open mind. You can contribute to paying for our practice space.
